MEANDER International Platform is a web platform where members of four collectives and initiatives situated in different parts of the world come together to exchange ideas and questions regarding our relations to our environments and fellow life forms.

We live in a time where we are going through unprecedented environmental changes which threaten life on Earth. How can we create narratives that make us more sensitive to the complex web of life that covers our planet? How can we develop models for new and less harmful ways of living, and for making art?

The communication between the initiatives has for the last four months happened through sharing and responding to scores. A score is a short written instruction which is to be materialised in mediums ranging from text and drawing, to photo, collage, video and film. The scores and the responses from the participants will be available on the webpage from the launching date onward.

The event will happen through an open source streaming platform. A global audience is invited to follow an 8 hour long program, which will be broadcasting from 4 different time zones. The program will start with an introduction from MEANDER at the artist run space Tenthaus in Oslo, which is hosting the event in Norway. The collectives will share scores and responses to scores live. The program involves cooking and sharing a meal. A selection of music by Vera Dvale (NO) will be streamed. A radio laboratory action by Jasmina Al-Qaisi and Ralf Wendt will be transmitted from the live radio lab and studio of ‘Anybody out there?!’ 100 years of Radio in Germany, D21 Gallery, Leipzig (DE). Students from the Nomad MFA (Interdisciplinary Master of Fine Arts) at the University of Hartford, Connecticut, led by artists Christy Gast (US), will present their podcast Hydrofeminist METitations # 4: Phase Transitions.
