Score #20: Be an octopus

“Uchawi Hauvuki Bahari” – magic can not cross the ocean. This is a Swahili phrase in Tanzania in the myths surrounding the ocean. It makes me wonder, does the magic falter due to the ocean’s vast expanse, or is it perhaps that the ocean itself is suffused with higher powers? Among these forces is the octopus. She is said to have the ability to see the unseen, to listen, to heal. Does she perceive the mystical energies that the mother ocean has to offer? What does life look like there?
