Score #8: Field note from your local bog

Share a field note from your local bog.

Ensayos is currently focusing on preserving the peat bogs of Tierra del Fuego.

Here is some info on those peatlands: https://www.unep.org/news-and-stories/story/growing-awareness-value-chiles-peatlands

Here is some info on peat bogs in Canada, which have a similar structure: https://storymaps.arcgis.com/stories/19d24f59487b46f6a011dba140eddbe7

In English, the term bog has a double meaning. As a noun, it refers to a particular type of wetland. As a verb, it refers to being stuck in one place as in the mud.

A field note from your local bog can take any form—a sketch, a photo, a map, a movement, a conversation. Your local bog might be an actual peat bog, or perhaps the lowest land in your city that used to be a wetland, or your home if you are “bogged down” because of coronavirus.
